Ann M. Furnish is the Principal of Copper Canyon Elementary School for PVSchools. In her role, she focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment where students are celebrated, teachers are supported, and strong relationships with families thrive. 

Principal Furnish has dedicated much of her career to PVSchools. Her district experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Desert Shadows Middle School and Greenway Middle School, as well as several years as a school improvement specialist for assessment and Title I. Throughout her tenure, she has remained committed to fostering rigorous academic standards, supporting teachers, and nurturing the social and emotional needs of every student. 

She began her career in education in 1997 as a classroom and special education teacher. Prior to her school administration roles, she gained extensive leadership experience across various district-level roles, focusing on district assessment data, standards-based instruction, and federal programs.

Principal Furnish holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. She maintains certifications in principalship, special education, and elementary education.
